Eliott Erwitt at Casa Tre Orci in Venice

The Casa Tre Orci, wonderfull house, testimony of the ‘900, was realized by Mario De Maria and has always been a veritable house of culture, coterie of artists and intellectuals, now reopened to the public after a long restoration.

The exhibition by Elliott Erwitt, Personal Best, arrives in Venice presenting a selection of 140 photographs of the most famous and significant of his career.

 

Member since 1953 of the historic Magnum Erwitt has not only told with journalistic attention the last six decades in the history of our world and of the contemporary civilization, but collected in a series of black and white images of the most tragic and the most fun of life that has passed in front of his goal.

By Jacqueline Kennedy to Marilyn Monroe to Che Guevara and Richard Nixon, there are many celebrities who have been portrayed by Erwitt and are included in this exhibition.

The exhibition will run until July 15, 2012.
