Locanda Silva

  • Locanda Silva

A few steps from Piazza San Marco

Our clients are both Italian and International: couples , families, scholars of the town, single travellers and foreigners in love with Venice, who use to spend a long time in town, as well as antique and modern art lovers who come for festivals such as the Biennale Arte, the Biennale Architettura, the Biennale Musica, the Film festival and the Carnival.

Locanda Silva was opened in 1956 by Mr. Ettore Perut, who ran it together with his family until 2007. Now it is up to his daughter Sandra to continue the family tradition helped by Caterina and the other reliable members of the staff.

The hotel has 23 rooms, all equipped with telephone and air conditioning. All the rooms have a private bathroom except for some double and single rooms that make use of some common toilets and showers on the corridor. Some of the rooms face the small canal in front of the hotel.

The rooms are arranged on three floors; on the top floor there are two terraces, where the clients can sit and admire the town (and smoke a cigarette since all our rooms are non smoking rooms).

An internet point is available for our costumers.

Locanda Silva is easily reachable by public transport from the train station and the bus terminal of Piazzale Roma.

The hotel is 3 minutes walking from the boat stop of San Zaccaria from where boats are leaving to Marco Polo airport, to the islands of Murano, Lido, San Giorgio and Giudecca and to the coastline of Cavallino.
