The singularity of Venice art

Venetian painting is one of the most important artistic movements in universal art. Dominated by colours, Venice art has its most recognized masters in artists like Titian, Tiepolo, Tintoretto. Many representatives of Venetian painting chose to give more importance to lights and colours rather than to shape, differently from what has happened in other Italian regions. Venice painting left a mark on European artists such as Rubens and Velasquez, who were inspired by the light/colour rule that was typical of Venice art.
