The culture, the sign, the tradition, the artistic workmanship of the glass into exquisite wedding favors that represent a fascinating history in miniature of the glass in the twentieth century and contemporary music, opening up unprecedented vistas of an area little studied the history of glass, applied arts and costume.

Many designers and glass artists have been compared, over time, with the creation of wedding favors, by Carlo Scarpa in Lino Tagliapietra, gathered today for the first time.

Tradition has it that the wedding favor wedding-related event, as we know it today, linked to “remember” a day of joy and “thank you” for the gifts received was founded in 1896 with the wedding gifts between Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, Prince of Naples and the future King of Italy, with Elena of Montenegro. Queen Margaret, mother of the groom, the wedding did make a small silver box that he gave to all invitees.

The techniques and colors of glass are applied to small objects of glass, glassware specially created by Barovier & Toso, Seguso Vetri and by Venini. Wedding favors by passing bowls of thick, almost plastic, ’30s, like the works of Ercole Barovier and Carlo Scarpa, the provocative bizzarie fifties.

The exhibition will run until June 10.
