Ca’ Rezzonico museum
The splendour of Eighteenth century
Ca’ Rezzonico museum is the museum of the Eighteenth century in Venice, born to celebrate this age of political decadence of the Republic – but at the same time an extremely culturally fertile period, which gave the world people such as Casanova and Goldoni.
Housed in ca’ Rezzonico palace, ancient residence of the noble family Rezzonico, the museum could not have found a better setting than this XVIII palazzo facing the Grand Canal. Its collection includes art by Tintoretto and Canaletto but also pieces of furniture and handcrafts, clothes, objects from daily life and even three rooms from an old pharmacy.
