A special exhibition at Scuola Grande di San Rocco

A new exhibition opens May 24 in Venice: in the halls of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, which houses the famous cycle of Teleri by Jacopo Tintoretto, the works of the great artist of Mannerism will be joined to those of the artist Emilio Vedova, one of the best-known exponents of the art of the twentieth century.

This is the first stage of a project that will link five great artists of the twentieth century with the work of the Master of Venetian Mannerism.

Vedova’s works will be presented evidence of the link that the artist, since the young age, Vedova felt with the work of Tintoretto.

It is an ideal trip in which the works refer directly to Tintoretto will be exposed to witness the dialogue between the two artists: the viewer can then riviere the same emotions that Vedova found in his paintings. Studies carried out in different periods since 1936, two sculptures and a large painting of the sixties up to the cycle of addition that the artist created in 1985.

Jacopo Tintoretto, for Emilio Vedova, has been the main support of his artistic training. This route allows you to emphasize the impetus and the strength of a conversation-> laceration, from the beginning, from the first exercises in style, you can include the development of what would later become the signature style of one of the great protagonists of the scene international twentieth century.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Sunday from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
