Santa Croce (sestiere)

Take a break from Venice crowds

The district of Santa Croce is the smallest one in Venice, its name coming from an ancient church that was later demolished. Santa Croce neighbourhood is the district of Venice which is best connected to the mainland: here there are Piazzale Roma, the bus/car terminal (with parkings), and the Stazione Marittima, the ship station for ferries and for cruises. Among the tourist attractions of this quite and charming area, it is worth to remember the Ca’ Pesaro museum, home to the Museum of Modern Art and to the Museum of Oriental Art.
