Between Rialto and San Marco there are the most famous streets for shopping in Venice: le Mercerie. Here you will find shops and boutiques of the largest top Italian and international fashion .

Le Mercerie are accessible by line 2 and get off at the Rialto stop, or crossing the Rialto Bridge towards San Marco .

Le Mercerie are not a single street, but a series of narrow streets that are divided into Mercerie dell’Orologio, Mercerie of San Zulian, Mercerie del Capitello e Mercerie San Salvador. Their name is derived by the commercial that at the time of the Serenissima was practiced here: namely, the sale of valuable goods that were derived from trade with the East.

Past Piazza San Marco , another area famous for luxury shopping in Venice is Calle Larga XXII Marzo, where also are located beautiful clothing boutiques and art galleries.
