A church with two facades

 San Trovaso church is actually dedicated to two different saints: Saints Gervasio and Protasio, whose names were confused and finally mixed by the Venetian dialect.
San Trovaso as we see it today is a XVI century rebuilding (following a collapse of the previous church); its most interesting feature is undoubtedly the double facade, designed on the style of Palladio. This is traditionally attributed to the rivalry between two local families, who this way would not have needed to meet at the entrance or at the exit from the Mass.

San Trovaso church is very close to the Zattere riverside, on the South side of the town.
