Exploring Venice countryside on river Brenta

 Riviera del Brenta is the name of the coastline of river Brenta in the area between Padua and the Venetian lagoon. It is an appreciated tourist destination thanks to the presence of the villas, luxury countryside residences that Venetian nobles started building since the XVI century. Some of the villas in Riviera del Brenta have been designed by famous architect Palladio, and beside architecture, they also captive visitors with frescoes and precious, ancient pieces of furniture. Among the numerous villas of Riviera del Brenta, Villa Foscari, Villa Pisani and Villa Morosini are probably the best known ones. A nice way to visit this part of Venetian mainland, and some of its beautiful villas, is taking a cruise on river Brenta.
